Automotive – Audi has started accepting reservations for its upcoming SQ8 performance SUV in the Indian market ahead of its official launch scheduled for March 17, 2026. Interested buyers can secure their booking by paying an initial amount of Rs 5,00,000 through the official Audi India website or via the myAudi Connect mobile application. The new model is expected to strengthen the brand’s position in the premium performance SUV category, combining sporty design, powerful engineering, and modern technology features.
Bookings Begin Ahead Of Market Introduction
With bookings now open, Audi is preparing to introduce the SQ8 as part of its performance-focused lineup in India. The model sits within the company’s Q series range of SUVs and is designed to offer a balance between luxury comfort and high-performance driving capability.
According to the company, the vehicle targets buyers looking for a premium SUV that combines coupe-inspired styling with strong engine performance. By opening bookings ahead of the launch, Audi aims to generate early interest among customers in the luxury vehicle segment.
The reservation process has been made available online through Audi India’s official digital platforms. Customers can complete the booking process either through the brand’s website or by using the myAudi Connect application, making it accessible to buyers across the country.
Powerful V8 Engine Delivers High Performance
Under the hood, the Audi SQ8 is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 TFSI petrol engine. This engine produces 500 horsepower and generates a peak torque of 770 Nm, enabling the SUV to deliver strong acceleration and performance.
The vehicle is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 4.1 seconds. Its top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h. The engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission that works alongside Audi’s well-known quattro permanent all-wheel-drive system.
