In its latest update, the brand confirmed the camera specifications and durability ratings of the smartphone, adding to previously disclosed information about performance and display features.

Camera Setup Confirmed by Company
OnePlus has officially announced that the Nord 6 will feature a dual rear camera system. The primary sensor will be a 50-megapixel Sony Lytia lens, designed to deliver detailed images with enhanced clarity. It will support 2x zoom, dual-axis optical image stabilisation, and a multi-focus system for improved accuracy while capturing moving subjects.
Accompanying the main camera is an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, offering a 112-degree field of view. This secondary sensor is expected to help users capture wider landscapes and group shots with ease.
For selfies and video calls, the smartphone will include a 32-megapixel front-facing camera. This sensor will be placed within a hole-punch cutout on the display and is also equipped with multi-focus capabilities for sharper results.
The device will support 4K video recording at 60 frames per second using the primary rear camera, making it suitable for high-quality video capture.
Strong Focus on Durability
Alongside camera details, the company has also revealed the durability standards of the OnePlus Nord 6 through its official product page. The device is expected to come with multiple ingress protection ratings, including IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K.
These ratings indicate resistance against dust and water exposure, including protection from powerful water jets and high-pressure conditions. This makes the smartphone more reliable for everyday use in varied environments.
Launch Date, Pricing and Availability
The OnePlus Nord 6 is scheduled to launch in India on April 7 at 7 PM IST. Following its release, the device will be available for purchase through Amazon.
The company has also shared expected pricing details, stating that the smartphone will likely be priced between Rs. 35,000 and Rs. 40,000. This positions it in the upper mid-range segment.
In terms of design and finish, the device will be offered in three colour options: Fresh Mint, Pitch Black, and Quick Silver.
Display and Performance Highlights
The smartphone will feature a flat 1.5K AMOLED display, branded as “Sunburst HDR.” It is expected to support a refresh rate of up to 165Hz, which can deliver smoother scrolling and improved gaming performance.
The display will also offer a peak brightness of up to 3,600 nits, ensuring better visibility under bright lighting conditions. At the lower end, it can go down to 2 nits for comfortable viewing in darker environments.
Additionally, the panel will include 3,840Hz PWM dimming technology, which helps reduce eye strain during extended usage.
On the usability front, the device will incorporate Aqua Touch 2.0 technology. This feature allows users to operate the touchscreen even when their fingers are wet or damp, improving functionality in challenging conditions.
Performance Hardware Already Announced
Earlier, the company confirmed that the OnePlus Nord 6 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset. This processor is expected to deliver strong performance for multitasking, gaming, and everyday applications.
With a combination of high refresh rate display, advanced camera features, and durable build quality, the smartphone aims to cater to users looking for a balanced device in the mid-premium category.
As the launch date approaches, more details are expected to be revealed, giving a clearer picture of how the device will compete in the Indian smartphone market.
