Skoda : Revises Kylaq Prices Following Recent Model Lineup Updates

Skoda : Auto India continues to draw attention as it enters the new week with another significant update to its portfolio. Shortly after revealing the refreshed Kushaq, the automaker has announced a revision in prices across its Kylaq compact SUV range, reflecting adjustments that affect most variants currently on sale.

Price Increase Across Most Variants

The Kylaq has received a price hike of up to Rs. 33,000, with the revision applying to nearly the entire lineup. All trims except the base Classic variant now carry higher price tags. Among the most affected are the Signature and Signature+ trims, offered with both manual and automatic transmissions. Each of these four variants has seen an identical increase of Rs. 33,000 compared to their earlier prices.

The upward revision places these mid-spec trims at a higher entry point for buyers, particularly those considering automatic options, which already sit at a premium in the segment.

Premium Trims See Moderate Revision

At the top end of the range, the Prestige variants have also been repriced, though the increase here is slightly lower. Both the Prestige manual and automatic versions now cost Rs. 24,000 more than before. While the hike is comparatively modest, it still reinforces the overall upward shift in the Kylaq’s pricing structure.

Notably, the Classic variant remains unaffected by the latest revision, continuing to serve as the most affordable entry into the Kylaq lineup.

Newly Introduced Variants Remain Unchanged

Earlier this month, Skoda expanded the Kylaq range by introducing two additional trims: Classic+ and Prestige+. These new variants were positioned to offer more choice by bridging gaps between existing trims and adding feature-based differentiation.

Despite the broader price revision across the range, Skoda has chosen to keep the prices of these newly launched variants unchanged for now. This decision may help maintain their appeal among buyers who are evaluating value-driven alternatives within the lineup.

Updated Price Range and Market Positioning

With the latest revision in place, the Skoda Kylaq is now priced between Rs. 7.59 lakh and Rs. 12.99 lakh, ex-showroom. The compact SUV continues to compete in one of India’s most crowded segments, where pricing plays a crucial role in influencing purchase decisions.

The Kylaq goes up against established rivals such as the Tata Nexon, and Skoda’s strategy appears focused on balancing feature updates and variant expansion while gradually adjusting prices to reflect rising input and operational costs.

More Variants Planned for Later This Year

Skoda has also confirmed that the Kylaq range will expand further in the coming months. A new Sportline variant is scheduled to be introduced later this year, though detailed specifications and pricing have yet to be disclosed. This upcoming addition is expected to target buyers seeking a more visually distinctive or feature-focused option within the Kylaq portfolio.

As Skoda continues to refresh its product lineup and adjust pricing, the brand appears intent on strengthening its position in the competitive compact SUV space while offering a broader selection tailored to different customer preferences.
