Top 3 Bike Launches: Three Upcoming Motorcycles Set to Redefine India’s Mid-Size Segment This December
Top 3 Bike Launches: December often arrives with relaxed weekends and predictable year-end offers, but this time it carries something far more exciting for motorcycling enthusiasts. Three new mid-size machines are gearing up for their India showcase, and each one brings a different flavor to the segment. With India Bike Week serving as the launch arena, this month is shaping up to be a pivotal moment for riders who follow performance, design evolution, and new-age engineering. From a brand-new GS platform to a Scandinavian-styled adventure tourer and a bold Italian streetfighter, the landscape is about to get noticeably more competitive.

BMW F 450 GS: A Major Step Forward in the Mid-Size Adventure Category
BMW is preparing to introduce the F 450 GS at India Bike Week on December 19–20, closely following its international reveal at EICMA 2025. This launch marks a significant milestone for the brand, especially as production has already commenced at the TVS facility in Hosur. The motorcycle embodies BMW’s fresh direction in the mid-size adventure space and is expected to influence future models in the range.
The F 450 GS features a newly developed 420cc parallel-twin engine producing 47.6PS and 43 Nm. A bidirectional quickshifter is included to enhance shifting efficiency, while the GS Trophy variant adds an easy-ride-clutch designed to support technical and slow-speed maneuvering. With a kerb weight of 178kg, it positions itself lighter than some established competitors, including the KTM 390 Adventure. BMW dealers have unofficially opened bookings for an amount between Rs 10,000 and Rs 20,000. The motorcycle is expected to go on sale in early 2026 with an estimated price of around Rs 4.50 lakh ex-showroom, placing it within a highly strategic price bracket for its class.
Brixton Crossfire 500 Storr: A New Contender With a Norden-Inspired Personality
The Brixton Crossfire 500 Storr is also set for a December reveal at India Bike Week. It will enter India through MotoHaus as a CKD model and will sit above the 500X and 500XC in Brixton’s lineup. The motorcycle immediately captures attention because its visual identity clearly draws inspiration from larger Husqvarna Norden models. The rounded design elements, upright stance, and minimalist adventure silhouette lend it a distinct Scandinavian adventure vibe that stands out in the 500cc category.
Beneath its stylish exterior, the Storr is powered by a 486cc twin-cylinder engine producing 47.6PS and 43Nm, paired with a six-speed transmission. While it does not offer a quickshifter or slipper clutch, it compensates with capable hardware. This includes long-travel KYB suspension, spoked wheels wearing tubeless tyres in a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear setup, and J.Juan braking components. Once launched, it will compete with several established models such as the BMW F 450 GS, Honda NX500, Benelli TRK 502X, Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, and KTM 390 Adventure. Brixton’s key challenge will be expanding brand perception and after-sales support in the Indian market.
FB Mondial Piega 452: An Italian Streetfighter Makes Its Return
FB Mondial is set to re-enter India with the Piega 452, which will be showcased at India Bike Week with MotoHaus managing brand operations. Unlike the retro-styled HPS 300 previously offered in India, the Piega 452 embraces a fully modern streetfighter identity. Its highlight feature is a single-sided swingarm, a rare sight in this price and displacement range, typically seen on larger and more premium motorcycles.
The Piega 452 is equipped with a 449.5cc parallel-twin engine producing 47.5PS and 39Nm, matched to a six-speed gearbox. Additional hardware includes an inverted front fork, rear monoshock, and 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in Pirelli Angel GT tyres. The motorcycle weighs 176kg, carries a 10-litre fuel tank, and offers an 820mm seat height, making it more suited for city performance rather than long-distance riding. Expected pricing is close to Rs 5 lakh ex-showroom. If positioned correctly, it could become one of the most accessible single-sided-swingarm motorcycles in India, competing directly with models like the Aprilia Tuono 457.
