Motorola Edge 70 Fusion – New Smartphone Debuts in India With 7000mAh Battery

Motorola Edge 70 Fusion –  Motorola has officially introduced the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion in the Indian market on Friday, expanding its Edge series lineup with a device focused on performance, display quality, and battery capacity. The smartphone arrives with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor, a large AMOLED display with a high refresh rate, and a substantial 7,000mAh battery.

The company has also confirmed that the handset will initially be available through a limited early sale before becoming widely available across online and offline channels in the coming days.

Pricing and Variants in India

The Motorola Edge 70 Fusion is available in three memory configurations in India. The base variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at Rs. 26,999. The 8GB RAM with 256GB storage model is listed at Rs. 29,999, while the top-end variant offering 12GB RAM and 256GB storage carries a price tag of Rs. 32,999.

Motorola is offering a Rs. 2,000 instant discount for buyers using HDFC Bank or Axis Bank credit cards. Alternatively, customers can choose a Rs. 2,000 exchange bonus on eligible smartphone trade-ins. With these offers applied, the effective starting price of the device drops to Rs. 24,999.

Availability and Colour Options

The smartphone will be sold in three colour options inspired by Pantone shades: Pantone Blue Surf, Pantone Country Air, and Pantone Silhouette.

Motorola has scheduled an early bird sale on March 6 between 12 PM and 4 PM exclusively on Flipkart. The regular sale will begin on March 12 at 12 PM through Flipkart, the official Motorola India website, and select retail stores across the country.

Display and Design Features

The Motorola Edge 70 Fusion features a large 6.78-inch Super HD Extreme AMOLED display with a resolution of 1.5K (1,272 × 2,772 pixels). The screen supports a refresh rate of up to 144Hz, enabling smoother animations and scrolling during gaming and everyday use.

The panel also includes HDR10+ support and can reach peak brightness levels of up to 5,200 nits. It supports 10-bit colour depth along with 100 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut, which aims to deliver more accurate colours and improved viewing quality. For durability, Motorola has equipped the display with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection.

Performance and Software

At the core of the smartphone is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset. The processor is paired with up to 12GB of RAM and offers up to 256GB of internal storage for apps, media, and files.

The device runs on Android 16 with Motorola’s Hello UI interface layered on top. Motorola has stated that the phone will receive three Android operating system upgrades along with five years of security updates, indicating long-term software support for users.

Camera System and Photography Capabilities

For photography, the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion features a dual rear camera system. The main camera uses a 50-megapixel Sony LYTIA 710 sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilisation to help improve image clarity and stability.

The second rear camera is a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens with a 120-degree field of view. This sensor also supports macro photography, allowing users to capture detailed close-up images. The camera system also incorporates a 3-in-1 light sensor to enhance exposure accuracy.

On the front, the smartphone includes a 32-megapixel camera designed for selfies and video calls. The device supports video recording in 4K resolution at 30 frames per second.

Battery, Connectivity, and Durability

Motorola has equipped the Edge 70 Fusion with a large 7,000mAh battery designed to provide extended usage on a single charge. The handset supports 68W TurboPower fast charging, allowing the battery to recharge quickly.

For connectivity, the phone supports 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo navigation systems. It includes dual Nano-SIM slots for mobile connectivity.

The smartphone is also built with durability in mind. It carries IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance and has received MIL-STD-810H certification for enhanced durability under certain environmental conditions.

Additional hardware features include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, an in-display fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication, and face unlock functionality. The handset measures 162.76 × 75.60 × 7.99mm and weighs approximately 193 grams.
