Smartphone – iQOO Z11x 5G Arrives in India With Large Battery

Smartphone – The smartphone brand iQOO has introduced its latest device, the iQOO Z11x 5G, in India, expanding its presence in the affordable smartphone segment. The new handset focuses on practical hardware features designed for everyday use, rather than experimental additions. Its arrival also reflects a shift in the company’s product approach for 2026, especially after reports suggested that the brand may not introduce a new model in its Neo lineup this year.

iQOO Adjusts Strategy for 2026

Industry reports earlier indicated that iQOO is reconsidering how it positions its flagship and upper mid-range smartphones in the Indian market. The decision to skip a Neo-series release this year could leave a gap in the premium mid-range category. However, the company appears to be maintaining momentum in the more affordable segment.

The launch of the iQOO Z11x 5G demonstrates that strategy. Instead of focusing on high-end experimentation, the company seems to be prioritizing reliable performance and practical features that appeal to a wider group of users.

Familiar Design With Minor Visual Tweaks

In terms of design, the new device carries forward several visual elements seen in the previous generation. The camera module sits slightly raised on the top-left side of the rear panel, arranged vertically inside a rectangular housing.

While the overall design language remains familiar, a few subtle changes are visible. The Dynamic Light element, which was larger on the earlier model, appears smaller on the Z11x 5G and is now placed beside the secondary camera sensor. This adjustment also results in a slightly reduced camera module footprint.

The smartphone is available in two colour variants: Prismatic Green and Titan Black. The Prismatic Green option, which was available for early hands-on impressions, features a soft mint-like tone. Its rear panel reflects light gently, creating faint patterns across the surface that add visual interest without making the design overly flashy.

Build Quality and Display Details

The handset features gently curved edges that may help improve grip and comfort during extended use. Despite its large battery capacity, the device maintains a relatively slim profile with a thickness of about 8.4mm. However, the phone has a noticeable weight of around 219 grams.

For durability, the device carries IP68 and IP69+ ratings, indicating resistance to dust and water exposure.

On the front, the iQOO Z11x 5G is equipped with a 6.76-inch LCD display offering a resolution of 1080 x 2344 pixels. The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate and delivers a pixel density of roughly 382 ppi. Peak brightness is rated at 1,200 nits.

Initial impressions suggest the display produces vibrant colours and sharp visuals. Outdoor visibility appears acceptable for typical usage conditions. However, the bezels surrounding the screen are noticeable, particularly the thicker bottom bezel.

Performance Hardware and Software

Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Turbo processor. The smartphone can be configured with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and as much as 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage.

The handset runs on Android 16 with OriginOS 6 layered on top. Based on the hardware specifications, the device is expected to handle routine tasks such as messaging, browsing, media streaming, and casual gaming smoothly. A complete evaluation of performance will depend on extended real-world usage.

Camera Setup for Everyday Photography

For photography, the iQOO Z11x 5G features a dual rear camera system. The primary sensor offers a resolution of 50 megapixels, accompanied by a 2-megapixel sensor dedicated to depth or bokeh effects.

On the front, the phone includes an 8-megapixel camera positioned within a hole-punch cutout at the top of the display. The front camera is designed for selfies and video calls.

A detailed assessment of image quality, particularly under varying lighting conditions, will require further testing over a longer review period.

Large Battery and Charging Support

One of the most notable specifications of the device is its large 7,200mAh lithium-ion battery. The handset supports 44W wired fast charging.

A battery of this size could potentially offer extended usage between charges, though actual performance will depend on real-world usage patterns. Charging speed and endurance will become clearer after comprehensive testing.

Early Impressions of the New Device

From an early look, the iQOO Z11x 5G appears to prioritize practical features that suit everyday smartphone needs. Instead of introducing experimental technology, the device focuses on core aspects such as battery capacity, display smoothness, and balanced performance.

Whether the handset delivers a consistently strong experience across performance, camera capability, and battery life will be clearer after a full evaluation. A detailed review will provide a more complete understanding of how the device performs in daily use.
