Smartphone Launch – Xiaomi has officially introduced the Redmi Turbo 5 in the Indian market, marking the debut of its Turbo smartphone series in the country. The newly launched device combines powerful hardware, a high-capacity battery, and premium display technology, targeting users who seek strong performance for gaming, entertainment, and everyday tasks.

Pricing and Availability
The Redmi Turbo 5 is available in two storage configurations. The 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant has been priced at Rs. 37,999, while the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage model costs Rs. 40,999. As part of the launch offer, customers using eligible SBI, ICICI Bank, or Axis Bank cards can receive an instant discount of Rs. 2,000.
The smartphone can be purchased through Amazon, Xiaomi’s official website, and authorized offline retail stores. Buyers can choose from three colour options: Asphalt Black, Nitro Blue, and Turbo White.
Display Designed for Entertainment
The handset features a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz AdaptiveSync refresh rate, delivering smooth scrolling and responsive performance. The screen supports Dolby Vision and reaches a peak brightness level of up to 3,500 nits, improving visibility in bright outdoor conditions.
For durability, Xiaomi has included Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection. The device also carries IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K certifications, indicating resistance against dust and water under various conditions.
Performance and Software Features
At the heart of the Redmi Turbo 5 is the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra processor. The chipset is paired with LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, aimed at delivering fast app loading and efficient multitasking.
To maintain stable performance during intensive workloads, Xiaomi has equipped the phone with a 3D IceLoop cooling system. Additional gaming-focused enhancements include Game Turbo Wild Boost technology. The smartphone also supports features such as HyperConnect, Google Gemini, Circle to Search, and several AI-powered tools.
The device runs on HyperOS 3 based on Android 16. Xiaomi has committed to providing four years of Android operating system upgrades along with six years of security updates.

For photography, the Redmi Turbo 5 includes a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 primary camera with optical image stabilization. It is accompanied by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor for capturing broader scenes.
On the front, the smartphone houses a 20-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. Users can record videos in 4K resolution at up to 60 frames per second. Other imaging features include burst photography through Turbo Snap mode and AI-assisted photo editing capabilities.

One of the key highlights of the Redmi Turbo 5 is its substantial 7,540mAh battery. The phone supports 100W HyperCharge technology for faster charging and also offers 27W reverse wired charging, allowing users to power compatible devices.
Connectivity features include support for 5G and 4G LTE networks, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, and an infrared blaster. Audio is handled through dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio support. For security, the device offers both fingerprint authentication and face unlock functionality.
