Smartphone – Vivo V70 Series Goes on Sale Across India
Smartphone – Chinese electronics maker Vivo has introduced its new Vivo V70 series in India, expanding its premium smartphone portfolio. Unveiled on February 19, the lineup includes the Vivo V70 and the higher-end Vivo V70 Elite. Both devices are now available for purchase nationwide through major e-commerce platforms, Vivo’s official online store, and select offline retail outlets.

Pricing and Colour Variants
The Vivo V70 starts at Rs. 45,999 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. Customers seeking higher memory can opt for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage version, priced at Rs. 49,999. The standard model is available in two colour finishes — Lemon Yellow and Passion Red.
Meanwhile, the Vivo V70 Elite is positioned at a higher price bracket. The 8GB + 256GB model is priced at Rs. 51,999, while the 12GB + 256GB option costs Rs. 56,999. The top-tier configuration with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage is available for Rs. 61,999. Buyers can choose from Authentic Black, Passion Red, and Sand Beige colour options.
To attract early buyers, the company is offering up to 10 percent instant discount on select bank cards, including HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, and Kotak Bank. Customers can also opt for an exchange bonus of up to 10 percent or avail no-cost EMI plans extending up to 18 months.
The smartphones are currently listed on Amazon and Flipkart, alongside Vivo India’s official website and physical retail stores.
Display and Software Support
Both smartphones feature a 6.59-inch VM9 AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,260×2,750 pixels. The screens support a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and peak brightness levels reaching 5,000 nits. With a pixel density of 459 ppi and P3 wide colour gamut support, the display is designed to deliver sharp visuals and vibrant colours.
The devices ship with Android 16-based OriginOS 6 out of the box. Vivo has committed to providing six years of security updates for the V70 series, offering long-term software support to users. Additionally, the handsets carry IP68 and IP69 certifications, indicating resistance against dust and water exposure.
Performance and Hardware
Under the hood, the Vivo V70 Elite runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor built on a 4nm architecture. The standard Vivo V70 is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, also manufactured using a 4nm process. Both models incorporate LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.1 storage technology, aimed at delivering faster data access and smoother multitasking.
Powering the devices is a 6,500mAh battery in each model. Vivo has equipped both phones with 90W wired fast charging support, allowing quicker battery replenishment.
Camera Capabilities
Photography remains a key focus for the Vivo V70 series. Both smartphones are equipped with a triple rear camera setup tuned in partnership with Zeiss. The primary camera features a 50-megapixel sensor with an f/1.88 aperture and optical image stabilisation. It is accompanied by a 50-megapixel super telephoto lens with OIS and an 8-megapixel ultrawide shooter.
On the front, users get a 50-megapixel selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture. The devices are capable of recording videos in up to 4K resolution.
