Pricing Strategy Targets Wider EV Adoption

With the BaaS model, Citroen aims to lower the initial purchase cost of the eC3X, making electric mobility more accessible to a broader range of customers. The alternative full-purchase option caters to buyers who want to avoid recurring battery subscription charges. The latest model also receives styling updates that distinguish it from the standard version, reflected in the addition of the “X” designation.

Exterior Design Retains Familiar Styling

The eC3X continues to share much of its visual identity with its internal combustion engine counterpart. At the front, the vehicle features LED daytime running lights, fog lamps, and Citroen’s signature grille design. The electric crossover rides on 15-inch alloy wheels and includes body cladding that adds a rugged appearance.

Customers can choose from six exterior colour options, namely Polar White, Steel Grey, Cosmo Blue, Perla Nera Black, Garnet Red, and Deep Forest Green. The colour palette provides a mix of classic and contemporary choices aimed at different buyer preferences.

Cabin Focuses on Practicality and Comfort

Inside the vehicle, Citroen has maintained a layout similar to its existing model while introducing design elements specific to the electric version. The dashboard receives electric blue accents that highlight the EV identity of the car. The seats are finished in Tone Lama Leatherette upholstery, contributing to a more premium cabin experience.

A 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system serves as the centrepiece of the dashboard. The system supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, enabling seamless smartphone integration without the need for cables.

Feature List Includes Connectivity and Safety Enhancements

The eC3X is equipped with several convenience and technology-focused features. These include a wireless smartphone charging pad and Connected Car Technology 2.0, which offers remote vehicle access functions and additional digital services. An electrochromic inside rear-view mirror is also part of the package.

Customers seeking extra equipment can opt for a JBL audio system and a front-and-rear dashcam package. On the safety front, Citroen has equipped the vehicle with six airbags, ABS with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, ISOFIX child seat anchors, lane departure warning, and a high-speed alert system among other protective features.

Battery, Range and Charging Capabilities

Powering the Citroen eC3X is a 29.2 kWh battery pack that delivers a claimed driving range of up to 320 kilometres on a single charge. The battery supplies energy to an electric motor producing 57 hp and 143 Nm of peak torque.

For charging convenience, the company states that the battery can be replenished from 10 percent to 80 percent in approximately 57 minutes using a DC fast charger. This capability is expected to support quicker turnaround times for daily commuting and longer journeys.

With flexible ownership options, practical features, and a competitive entry price, the Citroen eC3X enters the Indian electric vehicle market as a model designed to attract first-time EV buyers as well as customers looking for an affordable zero-emission mobility solution.
